volumeshader in mixshader ?

r-and-d-greetings.jpeg

i try to use the volume shader on a selection of polys only ... without cutting the geometry (wich will be animated) ... is there a possibility to use a mix shader on the whole geometry ??

i tried different methods ... but it seems not to work.

thank you very much !

When rendering a polymesh as a volume the mesh should be closed and not have anything self-intersecting, otherwise, the volume may not render correctly.

Hi Dave! Maya have a mesh deformer? In cinema you can add a mesh deformer to one geometry to follow other. Just like this:

I attached the scene and one video of the result, open it if you can.
