mota MAYA_RENDER_DESC_PATH overwrite

I'm hoping someone on here can help, I haven't really found anything about this other than one post from last year. Here is the link :

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/maya-animation-and-rigging/mtoa-overwrites-maya-render-desc-path-on-2...

But anyway, in Maya's env file, I am setting up the MAYA_RENDER_DESC_PATH to point to another location on my C: drive, but no matter what I put in there, when I load Maya, and run the command getenv "MAYA_RENDER_DESC_PATH"; it always comes back to say // Result: C:/solidangle/mtoadeploy/2018. This is exactly the same as the link above states. My question is where/what is creating the override when I launch maya? I looked in the environment variables of the system and there is nothing in there for solidangle or arnold, the maya.env points to a different location, I've renamed the solidangle directory to make sure Maya can't see it on launch and that doesn't help. I'm just at a loss and I do not want to uninstall arnold like the post above suggests. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Look inside mtoa.mod file in C:\solidangle\mtoadeploy\2018
and C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Modules\Maya\2018

MAYA_RENDER_DESC_PATH += C:\solidangle\mtoadeploy\2018

You are a genius! The common files module was the one. Thanks so much for your help!
