A 3ds Max install includes the version of MAXtoA that was available at that time.
The latest MAXtoA is available from https://www.arnoldrenderer.com/arnold/download/

Hey bro, How are you?
I've got a problem with Arnold render...I was doing daylight because I needed it to define shades on a building, I chose the location, added the materials, the time and date; and in the end render it's only possible with ART Renderer. Do you know what could have gone wrong?
You have MAXtoA
That is why you see Arnold listed as a renderer.
MAXtoA is a plugin that makes Arnold available in 3ds Max.
In the 3ds Max menu bar, click Arnold > Help > About MAXtoA
That's the version of MAXtoA you have. Probably 1.2.917 or older.
I do not think so, because I have not got any MAXtoA version yet, as you can see on the attached photo and I do not really know if that is an issue?
You probably have a very old version of MAXtoA.
It's up to you: use the old one or download and install the latest from arnoldrenderer.com
MAXtoA Version does not appear at all on my side. In order to be able to make renders I have to get it, haven't I? Maybe it is a weird question but I just started to work with 3ds max and I have not got used to it yet.
What version of MAXtoA? You don't have to upgrade, but if you want the latest version with the latest bug fixes and new features, you can upgrade.
Am I supposed to do it even if I already have Arnold as a Render?
