You want to blur the texture? I suppose you could use mipmap bias to get a lower resolution (blurry) version of the texture.

Ah yes that will do just fine, instead of Maya Pre-Blur. Not as much control but, will do the job in this case. Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

Agreed, especially for procedurals it'd be cool

For me it was for fake depth of field.. but was something I used occasionally in maya
