Running Cinema 4D R19.024 off a Server and Arnold not appearing

Hi, We are running Cinema 4D R19.024 off a server location. Exactly the same build and install runs fine locally but when run off a server Arnold does not appear? No errors in the console either.

Thanks

Will Denning

What OS? Are setting C4D_PLUGINS_DIR? And PATH?

Can you run Process Monitor/dtruss to trace the start up?

Hi Stephen,

running Windows 10 and have only just discovered the C4D_PLUGINS_DIR And PATH variables, going to give those a go and see if that works.

Thanks for the tip!

Hey

Was wondering if there is any way of running c4d on mac OS from a server location (UNIX based)... Maxon told me some time ago that that wasn't possible as c4d was written on Windows...
Any news from the Arnold front (on a server)?

Thanks for your help

Jeremy

Hi @j j

The Arnold issue turned out to be a bug, got fixed with this release

https://support.solidangle.com/display/A5AFCUG/2.2.0

All working as normal now, nice one Solid Angle 🙂

Not sure about the running c4d off a UNIX based server... can imagine it's possible

Good luck!

Will
