Alembic Procedural and cryptomatte workflow

Is is possible to get crypto working with the alembic procedural

I've tried the following:

Writing a cypto_asset string attribute onto the points before writing the alembic file. Not only does this not work for crypto, but if using catclark to subdivide it produces the error

attempting to subdivide an invalid data type: STRING

I've also tried writing a crypto_asset attribute just onto he packed alembic points. This doesn't do anything.

The only thing that works is converting from packed alembic to polygons, and adding the crypto_asset attribute to the points. This defeats the purpose of using the procedural in the first place.

Thanks!

We are using this wrangle and works without any issues. Run over primitives

s@crypto_material = s@shop_materialpath;
s@crypto_object = s@path;
s@crypto_asset=chs('crypto_asset');
