Directional light - shadow colour

Hi everyone,

What would be the most efficient way to get more control over the shadow colour from the sun, for example?

I know it is not 'correct' to change the shadow colour on the actual light as this will break a few things and is a real hack. I was playing around wit this parameter and it did look nice, I just would like to hear if any of you use this method, or do you go down the route of rendering out a shadow pass then control it all in comp? It is for a TV series, so just curious as to the quickest and most cost efficient method in Arnold.

Thanks :)
