Arnold rendering stand ins with relative path.

Hello,

I have been creating stand ins with Arnold and I notice when I used another PC that my file paths in the .ass files are absolute. I tried changing them to relative paths but then Arnold would not load in my textures. Changing the paths to the new absolute path worked.

Now my problem is that I was planning on rendering on a render farm and I do not want to have a issue where the path is absolute and that is why it will not find my textures while being rendered.

Is there a way to change the .ass file to be a relative path or is that not possible ?

You should clear the Absolute Texture Paths check box (Render Settings > System > Search Paths) before you export.

The relative paths are resolved relative to the Texture Search Path

Thanks this works.

However if I understand correctly the Texture Search Path can not be a relative Path. It would be neat if it would be relative to my Maya Project. In Maya i can query the worksapce path could I add a expression in the ass file or is their no way around this ?

The Texture Search Path cannot be a relative path, because textures paths are resolved relative to it.
