# How I create a quad_light or any light?
In GafferThree hitting L or right cliking then choosing Light
Double click under Shader, a window popup let you pick up a light! but there is nothing in that list!
I have to right Click under Shader, add Shader/light, double clicking again, then all arnold light are listed
Then choosing the desired light! quad light for example!
if I add another light, I have to repeat the same operation to get all the light listed
# or after creating a light in GafferThree, add Shader under material then choosing Light, then pickup quad_light from arnoldLightShader.
# Reactivating Renderman:
Creating arnold light in GafferThree, if I double clic under Shader I get a list of Renderman light!
and all arnold light become broken! and sharing the same point_light icone!
There is limited support for viewer manipulators for lights in KtoA, but improvements are planned for this. However, most light types do have different icons and indicators in the viewer. Quad lights should show some information on size and the direction, for example. Can you provide more information on how you create your quad light in katana/ktoa?
I get an answer from katana forum
