Problem with transparency image planes upon each other

Hello,

I am pretty new to this render engine in 3d max 2018 and I found a problem that I dont know how to fix. This is my setup:

I place 3 planes in the z axis with some distance between them. I create 3 standard surface materials with an normal wired to the base color and an alpha (black and white) image wired to opacity. I place these materials on the three planes.

The result is an weird artifact in the image. It looks like the transparency does not work. I probably missed some options but I dont know how to fix this. I hope someone can help me with this.

Have you disabled Opaque for the planes?

I added the arnold properties modifier and disabled opaque but the result is the same. This is the setup by the way:

They look like fireflies. Have you tried clamping? Is there a light in the scene? Why are samples/ray depth at 0?

The idea is to just place images behind each other. So I dont need a light for the project. I just have tried clamping and increasing the samples. It makes the image more softer but the problem is still there. Here is the setup now:

Could it be an material problem? I also tried rendering this setup with scanline and there is no problem.

Sometimes it is the number of transparency rays in render set-up, two for each plane should do it. Sometimes it may need to be double sided, you can add the Arnold properties modifier and then check on or off the double sided property. Also make sure there is at least a small gap between each plane. Then just make sure you have an environment set up. Your image actually looks really cool for a nebula type object!

Also, I may be doing it wrong, but I found I had to invert the alpha to use image alpha.

First thank you for the compliment! Actually I create 3d nebulas and this image represent a couple of layers. I tried the rays, double sided and the distance between the planes. The result is still the same. I only dont understand your environment setup. I am really curious how you create this.
