Overriding filter type (contour) for toon shading pass in render layers

Im looking for a way in maya 2018's layers system to override the filter type on a specific render layer.

I want to be able to set the 'contour' filter on my toon shaded layer only and keep the other render layers as 'gaussian'

I've been looking into the connection overrides..

For example I can control the width of the filter with the connection override 'defaultArnoldFilter.width'

I gained this information from echoing all commands and changing the width to see the name of the attribute.

However changing the filter type dose not echo anything in the shell...dose anyone know the name of the attribute to override that will allow me to control filter type?

Thankyou

Solved!

Cheers Stephen.

If anyone is looking for the exact syntax per Stephen's link above or a step by step read below.

1. Create a render layer

2. Inside this render layer create a collection and add your objects too this collection

3. Right click your collection - select 'create connection override'

4.In the 'type attribute' box enter 'defaultArnoldFilter.aiTranslator'

5. Hit 'create'

6. In the newly created 'ai translator' box enter the name of the filter you wish to use (contour, gaussian, box e.c.t)
