No AOVS when Exporting Multi Layered EXR in Arnold

Hi,

On my windows PC I am trying to export the AOV's to a Multi Layered EXR and when I open it in Photoshop, there are no layers, only the beauty render.

I have exactly the same settings on my Mac and I can export and open in photoshop with all layers included with no problem.

Search on the web and came across this "solution" which does not work for me.

The "select driver" function in Maya does not change anything.

On my mac I don't even have to setup anything. It just works right out of the box.

Can somebody help with this? I am loosing it.

Specs:

Windows 10 pro 64bits

GTX 1060

CPU: i7-8750H 2.20Ghz

16gb RAM

---

Mac Pro 2008 8 core

El capitan

GTX 750ti

24gb RAM

---

I've attached an image.

I presume you have Merge AOVs enabled?

Can you view them in other post apps like Nuke?

I currently don't have nuke installed.

Photoshop won't see the merged AOVs. You can download a trial of Nuke.

Thanks for replying so fast, I don't understand why my Mac's photoshop sees the layers and my windows photoshop do not.

You probably have a plugin installed on your Mac which is absent on your PC. It is needed for EXR.

https://www.fnordware.com/ProEXR/ works on Mac and PC

https://www.exr-io.com has more options but is PC only

Yes! installed the exr-io and it opened with the AOV'S in different layers and color managed, this solved it!

Just checked my MAC and indeed I had ProEXR installed, I must have turned off the startup window for the pluggin when a EXR file is imported.

Thanks so much!
