Hi,
We just installed Arnold MtoA 3.1.2 on our systems but we get Insufficient Memory issues on the render farm
864MB ERROR | problem with texture: regex_error(error_stack): There was insufficient memory to determine whether the regular expression could match the specified character sequence.
I'm doing some tests and rolled back first to MtoA 3.0.0.2 our previous version and then to 3.1.1
We don't have issues with the same scene with both version only with the MtoA 3.1.2
Any idea why we are getting this error with this latest update?
Cheers
Can you post a full log so I can tell when this happens? (eg during the render, during scene translation, during scene init, ...)
2019-01-09 14:48:01: 0: STDOUT: 00:00:04 977MB ERROR | problem with texture: regex_error(error_stack): There was insufficient memory to determine whether the regular expression could match the specified character sequence. 2019-01-09 14:48:01: 0: STDOUT: 00:00:04 977MB ERROR | [texturesys] unspecified OIIO error (filename = "M:/m/mediamonks_post/flip/00_pipeline/03_lookDevScenes/textures/lookdev_hdri_2k_01.tx")
so, this is after bucket rendering started?
@Purchase MediaMonks
Is it just that one texture that causes the error?
Try removing
M:/m/mediamonks_post/flip/00_pipeline/03_lookDevScenes/textures/lookdev_hdri_2k_01.tx
and the original texture too.
If you're using MayaFile, it will use the default color if the texture is missing.
If you're using aiImage, you'll need to enable Ignore Missing Texture
Also, increase the MtoA log verbosity to Info
It seems the tx files is giving the error.
It is strange it does render with previous versions of Arnold.
I've opened the tx (renamed to tif) in Photoshop and it is transparent and it consists of multiple channels...
other tx files (renamed to tx) are appearing as one image, if tested a couple...
Can you send some of those problem tx files to support@solidangle.com ?
Actually, it's not strange because there was a major update in OIIO (the image IO library that Arnold uses).
