Hi guys, fairly new to Arnold.
I'm trying to find a way to drive the emission/brightness of a bunch of clones using a mograph field (spherical falloff). I tried the tutorial "Dynamics to Arnold Renderer" by Dyankov and it worked however it requires that I make the cloner editable. Is there a way to effect my clones while keeping my cloner intact? I've seen this is possible in RedShift using "MgColorShader" Is there another direction I could take....perhaps using noise within a vertex map? Any help is appreciated.
You can read the color of the clones via a user data shader. Is this what you're looking for?
