Hi there,
I am having some weird problems with disk light. Light does not affect the volumes if spread is lower than 1 and greater than 0.6. When its lower than 0.6 this happens:
mtoa: 3.1.1
Cheers

Sorry, I do not repro this with the latest MtoA. Can you post a repro (a scene or ass file that reproduces the issue)
Who is we? Reply to support if you must.
Why do you disable Normalize?
Ok.
This problem started in Arnold 5.1.0.0 (released in April 2018) and I've logged a ticket with the dev team.
Thanks for reporting
Hello
I would like to rewake this issue.
It happens when I use "disk" as Light Shape in AiAreaLight and have the Spread between 0.500 - 0.999. I have mostly noticed it when I use volume, both aiAtmosphereVolume in Environment in render globals and if I just create a box and appley aiStandardVolume.
It seems like it has to do with the light threshold. I tested to change in the render globals but with no better result. Tried samples both in the lights and render globals but nothing good.
But it seems to work fine if I change Light Shape to the default "quad" and play with the spread. Perhaps there is some sort of bug in the Disk light Shape.
Using latest MtoA: 4.0.4.2
Thank you!
That sucks though.
I hope they look over here and can address this issue/bug. Seems like its been there for some time.
