object set? Like Create > Sets > Set? No

You can use a Set Parameter operator to set the trace set parameter on objects in a standin

Thank you, @Stephen Blair 🙂

And one more question: is it possible to force specific shape from standIn (or normal scene object) to use different shader, than assigned as custom AOV shader?

For example: I have occlusion AOV with aiAmbientOcclusion, but one foo_polymesh should execute aiFlat

Please ask a new question next time. That way the question and its answer will be easier to find when people search this site. And also, since this is a reputation-based forum, whoever answers correctly gets more rep points.

You could do something like this:

3058-aov-shader-switch.jpg

I put a mtoa_constant_index attribute on some objects, and set that index parameter to 1

I set the default value for aiUserDataInt to 0, so that any shape without an index parameter gets the AO shader.

If a shape has index=1, it gets a Flat shader.

Thanks! That seems like a solution
