Which particles are you using? Are they sprites? Can you provide more information about the scene, please?

its a simple smoke scene which includes a particle system(PF source), a plane and arnold distance light.

the opacity is not working correctly... if I use less particles it works but if I use a lot, the opacity doesn't work like it should be

particle amount 200+ settings and material I am using

particle amount 100

3167-amount100.jpg

particle amount 70

3169-amount70.jpg

particle amount 50{finally its gone(but its not what I want)}

3170-amount50.jpg

render is set to arnold(obviously)

exposure control set to physical camera

let me know if I miss something...

P.S. Its only happening in arnold only... Others renders are fine... Everything is update to latest

Have you tried increasing the Transparency Depth?

yes I already did, and it didn't work... thats why I am not using it as transparency map but as opacity map(see first pic, material options).

every thing related to transparency, opacity has the same problem...

same things happening with physical material...

its arnold render issue

I cannot reproduce it, works fine in my setups.

Maybe upload a sample scene?

I converted it to a 32-bit exr and got better results.

Looking at the image in Photoshop, the smoke seems to be clipped at the edges.

As Lee Griggs says, up the Transparency depth number.
