3DS Max - Assigning Arnold Properties by Material id

I have a multi/sub object material and would like to use the Arnold Properties modifier in the stack on a per material id bases. As an example I have a multi/sub object material on a mesh and wish to apply Arnold displacement and turn shadow casting off on a per sub object bases.

I've tried various methods to get the selected material id sent up the stack the the Arnold Properties modifier, but it seems to ignore the selection. I assume I need to add AOV's somewhere ?

Thanks for that, but it doesnt really show how to send the material id to the Arnold Properties modifier in the stack. As another example I'd like to know how to assign an Arnold displacement map to a specific material id on a multi material object. Its probably very simple but I'm not sure how to set the variables up.
