Color Management and Color Picker

Hello Arnold Community,

Arnold 5 conforms to Maya's color management system. With previous versions of Arnold, we are able to set the gamma correction explicitly. We noticed that picking color values with the color picker, we have to set "display driver gamma" to 2.2 in order to visually select the gamma corrected color.

According to this https://support.solidangle.com/display/AFMUG/Gamma+Correction, we must set

In Maya's color picker, there an attribute called Mixing Color Space (optionVar colorManagementColorPickerColorSpaceSelection) that gets enabled when Color management is turned on. How can I permanently set it to default to "Display Space" instead or "Rendering Sapce"? Please Notice that following mel command doesn't seem to do anything.

optionVar -sv colorManagementColorPickerColorSpaceSelection "Display Space";
savePrefs;
colorManagementPrefs does not have a flag for setting this attribute.
When I manually change the value in the UI, that value will stick for the remainder of the Maya session but revert to "Rendering Sapce" when you reopen the scene even if the value is set to "Display Space" in the userPrefs.mel file. See attached.

This isn't under the control of MtoA or Arnold. It's more of a Maya question. I'll see if I can find something...
