so i have a point cloud that im trying to do a basic fly around of utilizing a target camera and a circle as a path constraint. as the frames render there is a line of Black that slowly encroaches across the frames and it just continues to get worse as the scene progresses. eventually it covers the entire point cloud. i had a similar issue on a project doing a fly through of a point cloud about 6 months ago. ended up going with a different piece of software.
Can you upload images and a simple scene of what you are getting. What render settings, lighting, shading etc that you are using would be useful.
In the System tab, there is a flag called Re-translate Scene on a Frame Change. Does enabling that affect the result ?
thanks for the replies. i am using the same settings i used with Max 2017/2018 i believe. no lights. no exposure control(or Linear). i have attached a few screenshots of Arnold settings, let me know if you need anything else. this only seems to happen when the camera is animated. i can animate a point cloud slicing with no problems.arnoldsettingswitherror.zip . it can usually crank out 10 frames before the black starts to encroach. Nicola. yeah i tried that button. sadly it didn't help. it makes sense that it would clear the frame buffer possibly. im going to test this with a free camera and see if i get a similar result.
