atmospherevolume and mesh light

Experiencing either a bug or approaching this like an idiot, but problem is..... When i render a mesh light with atmosphere volume on. There is always a black hole at the pivot of the geometry. Now i should mention that my single mesh light is in fact multiple islands of geo combined.

but any configurations of a mesh light from multiple geo with a will create a black hole in the atmosphere. I guess it's bad practice, but I have scattered points from houdini that I'm trying to illuminate (into the environment) from procedurally without insance render times..

The docs say nothing about mesh light & atmosphere volume limitations

Thanks in advance!

Could you post a screenshot, or maybe an ASS file?

I did a quick test (the red spheres are one mesh light), and with or without that area light I didn't see a black hole (and I did have a skydome light too at one point, so not everything was black).

Hey Stephen thanks for the quick reply. Attached is example of effect with screen grab of scene. You can recreate it quite simply with a mesh light on 3 poly spheres combined and then boost density in the envvol. I'm sure there is something I'm missing...

Thanks
