Arnold Render Selection to Texture and Merge AOVs

Hi, I'm using Arnold 5's render selection to texture utility on Maya 2019, which has an option to enable AOVs, but I'm having trouble merging the AOVs together into a multi channel EXR file. I have the merge AOVs checkbox checked under the default driver, made sure all of the AOVs are using the same driver (<exr> default), and rgba under data, but I keep getting the same result where each AOV is exported as a separate file. There isn't a file prefix under the common Arnold render settings, but it seems that the common settings don't seem to have any affect on the files outputted from the render selection to texture utility... Regardless of what I put the names of the files are always [name of geo].[name of aov].exr.

I tried giving the AOVs the same name, which produced a single AOV file, but it was broken and completely black.

Render Selection to Texture does not use the default driver

Render Selection to Texture creates its own driver, and right now the command doesn't support merged EXRs
