HDRI - only white models.

Hey guys... im really new to using arnold and new to lighting in general. So i hope this isnt a super lame question. But whenever I render using an HDRI image I only get white. I have messed with exposure, and intensity but nothing sees to fix this and I cant find any answer to this on the forums. I followed directly through tutorials and it works for everyone else.

Thanks for any help

oops... think i may have figured out half of it... seems that as soon as i started playing around with the materials and shaders and not the lighting i started getting some results but still having some troubles... where my viewport shows what the material should show but the render does not? still white for the cube.

Are you setting the right colourspace for the texture? I've seen similar results when forgetting to switch the texture to raw.

Thanks for the reply! I figured that out like a minute before you posted this! Thanks so much totally the problem. There is so much to the all of this but I'm geeking out like crazy on it. I must have moved over a million sliders before figuring out the switch to raw.. Thank you for your time Zeno.
