Trying to create a decal effect similar to using a layered shader in Maya and having difficulties. The effect I'm looking for is a paper label (distressed, old) on a shiny bottle. So need, essentially, two different surface qualities on the same object. Any suggestions or related tutorials would be much appreciated. Using a Maya's Layered Shader doesn't seem to be working with the AiStandardSurface shader...

I think you’re right Ben... tried the AiMix just after posting and am finally getting something close to what I’m looking for. Having some odd behavior when I turn off texture tiling (image turns into a black hole) but I’m sure I’ll get that straightened out. Thanks for the suggestion!
