User Data on file textures

Hi there! Thanks for your time!

Is there any way to use user data on the frame offset of file textures? Its possible to do it on the string of the file path, and assign a different texture to each object, but I was trying to offset a sequence on different objects, but cant, for the life of me, make it work.

Any ideas? Thanks!

No, the Frame Offset is resolved at translation time, not at render time.

If you have Image Number = 1 and Frame Offset = 4, MtoA sends the filename "example.5.jpg" to Arnold.

Hi! Ive managed to do it.

I wrote an OSL shader to sample the texture and then an user data to control time and offset.

It would be an awesome addition if you ask me. For non coding people like most of us.

For now, my shader is non generic, if I get a little time I can make it generic and release it
