Arnold5 Maya 2018 Emission

I have a standard surface shader in Maya. The emission is set to sRGB (it is an .exr file which auto changes to .tx) and the weight is set to 1.0

I don't seem to be able to get the same results as Substance Painter. In Maya the emission is not as bright. I am using the same HDR backgrounds in both applications.

Thank you

Have you tried setting the EXR to Raw?

@Lee Griggs

There does not seem to be a lot of difference between sRGB and Raw. I have limited knowledge but thought that if the map had colour (i.e. not greyscale) then its sRGB (emissive map attached).

I found that playing with the Emission Color Balance Exposure (attached) made a difference but honestly I am unsure if that is the correct way to go.

Thanks again

Does the Standard Surface have Base Weight too? You shouldn't have to adjust the images Exposure. Is it a 32-bit EXR?

To me, the Arnold render looks more 'realistic'?
