GPU mode? Is that available yet?

Can you post a more detailed Arnold log, so we can see the log header (with the machine specs) and the full error message?

What driver version do you have?

Does this happen with any scene? Even an empty scene?

@Eden Soto The latest C4DtoA includes Arnold 5.3, and Arnold 5.3 includes a beta version of GPU rendering (aka "Arnold GPU").

So Im running c4d R20 and installed the arnold demo (C4DtoA 2.5.0 Arnold core 5.3.0.0.)

The Nvdia driver is currently 419.67.

The gpu is a GTX 1080 8gb.

Processor is a AMD ryzen 2700. 64 GB ram

This is the only error related to arnold:

C4DtoA | 00:00:00 1035MB WARNING| rendering with watermarks because the skip_license_check option was enabled C4DtoA | 00:00:00 1036MB ERROR| [gpu] cannot create GPU context (-1: Unknown error) C4DtoA | 00:00:00 1036MB WARNING| aborting render pass setup: received abort signal

Also in the cpu render i get the same error if i enable the optix denoiser.
