when I try to use the shadow matte with the gpu enabled, the object with the shadow matte turns black and doesn't receive shadows or reflections. when I switch back to cpu rendering it goes back to normal.
Shadow matte shader is not supported on the GPU yet. Unsupported shaders, lights and parameters are marked with an asterisk (*) in the label. You can also check the unsupported shaders in the plugin clicking on the Limitations... button next to the device selection or here:
