Hello everybody.
I can't use the "C4D noise" node anymore.
The .dll (and .mtd) located in "C:\Program Files\MAXON\Cinema 4D R20\plugins\C4DtoA\shaders" are here. In C4D, "C4D noise" is in the list.
When I drop it on the "Shader network", it seams working, but the render result is a full white (on the IPR and the material preview).
I tried on R19 and R20, with c4dtoa 2.45 and 2.5, and c++2018 are installed, so this may be an hardware or windows issue.
Indeed, I don't know when that hapened exactly, but I re-install my computer with Win7 64 Pro one monthe ago and this could be a raison ...
For the story, I was on Win7 one year ago, everything worked fine, I swith to Win10 with lot of drivers issues, and go back to Win7.
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
Why do you say "unable to load some dll"
Is there an error in the Arnold log when you render? Or some error when you start CINEMA 4D?
Can you post the full text of the error?
"Why do you say "unable to load some dll""
--> Becaused of a poor english 🙂
It load but render full white, whithout any error message.
I'm not behind my computer now but will post le log this evening;
Tank you for your time.
@Waste Bin I asked because it suggested there was some DLL error message, and it's always good for us to see the full message. I'll be trying c4d noise shortly in R20...
Hello Stephen.
You'll find a capture of the issue and the log in attachment.
I got strange errors concerning .mtd but they are in the write location.
The second screenshot shows that you have an old Arnold (older than 5.3) but the shaders from Arnold 5.3
So either your install is messed up (old ai.dll but other files are new)
or, more likely, you have something in your PATH environment variable that points to an older Arnold
Thank you Stephen.
I will try to uninstall, delete variables and reinstall it again.
Keep you in touch.
I would check the environment variables first. Probably no need to reinstall
Ok, that was a network error during installation leading to uninstalled files. Certainly one of the ai.dll.
Thank you for your advises et for time Stephen.
