I'm rendering with HtoA 4.0.0 on Windows 10 using an RTX 2080Ti GPU and a Dual Xeon CPU. Application is Houdini 17.5.173 Indie Edition.
When rendering with Fog, the visual results are different between Arnold CPU and Arnold GPU.
As you can see below, the Camera Depth of Field results are ALSO different between CPU and GPU. The background is a 12K resolution HDRI.
Camera settings are:
////////////////////////////////////////////////////
////////////////////////////////////////////////////
This is CPU with FOG OFF.
This is CPU with FOG ON.
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
This is GPU with FOG OFF.
This is GPU with FOG ON.

I can send the Houdini Scene via private email. Here are the FOG settings.
Disregard the Depth of Field discrepancy. It doesn't exist. The reduction to Max Texture Resolution of 2048 persisted until I restarted Houdini. Now everything looks identical on CPU and GPU.
We can replicate the fog issue and will make a ticket for this thanks
