ai physical sky

solar-panels.jpgDoing a simple scene of filed of solar panels. Have skydome light with hdr assigned and then added aiphysical sky to create shadows, highlights. In the screenshot there's a black tinted area displaying above the horizon. If I rotate the physical sky to get it below the horizon the sky area gets very "tinted" back and faint.

How would I correct this? Thanks much!

If you have an HDRI image for lighting..., why do you need the physical sky?, HDRI images DO generate shadows from the sun.

Do you have two Skydome lights in the scene? If so, lower the camera visibility of the one that you don't want to be visible to the camera.

Thank you both for your quick responses and help. Regarding Jose's suggestion; if I eliminate the aiphysical sky is there anyway to adjust the sun elevation/azimuth with the aiskydome light as is possible with an aiphysical sky? Other than rotating it? Or is that not adjustable since it will be whatever the hdr's camera angle was when the photo was taken? I thought I needed an aiphysical sky in order to set the sun attributes to whatever I wanted.

Lee, I did lower the camera visibility to zero and it took care of the problem, thank you.

Lee,

Been some time since you helped me with some previous issues. I'm doing the Arnold tutorial here (https://docs.arnoldrenderer.com/display/A5AFMUG/Underwater+Scene+with+Fog) and I can't get my aiGobo caustic texture to show up in the render entering the same values as shown in the tutorial. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I haven't gotten to the Sea step yet.

Attached is screenshot showing my model and aiGobo settings. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.6635-screen-shot-2020-04-08-at-111150-am.png
