Bug MaxToA 3.057: Cards with unsupported GPU fail on CPU rendering if Optix denoiser is selected. Writes empty frames. No warning or error message. Perhaps GPU processes should be disable when one selects CPU only rendering?

Yes, there should be a message, at least a warning.

The Optix Denoiser uses the GPU, so you do need a supported card.

I think it should be disabled if it cause my CPU renderfarm to write empty frames or it should make those nodes unavailable in backburner, the same as if a plugin were missing.

Separate note: the environmental variable appears to be case sensitive. I had put @animation3 on a machine, it failed to retrieve a Arnold render license from the server until I corrected it to @Animation3. UNCs are not case sensitive. This threw me for a 3 hour loop...

Variable name: Value: ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE @Animation3

Thnx, Stephen.
