Gobo no longer works with procedural textures

Hi there!

Arnold 3.2 on Maya broke Gobo with 2D procedurals, it still works with file textures.
On Arnold 3.1.2.1 it works fine.

Thanks!

Which ones? I tried checker, grid, marble, and ramp, and they worked as slidemaps.

Hi, Checker did work, marble is a 3D texture, ramp also workd.
Grid had the same problem as noise and bulge, they only return a single color.

OH btw, there is more to it! Sorry, I was testing with a atmosphere volume because my scene only had the volume.
This problem only affects the volume, like so:
Arnold 3.2

Arnold 3.1.2.1:

I've also attached the test scene

Thanks!

This is because of change we made. We no longer use the Maya place2Dtexture node, instead we use built-in Arnold nodes (a utility with color mode = UV plugged into a uv_transform, in this case).
I'm not seeing a way to get the same result. I'll open a ticket.

Thanks for reporting

Thanks a lot for the repro. This was just fixed and will be shipped in a future hotfix release.

Cheers
