Displacement is not showing details property

I run into a problem with mtoa, my displacement map is a 16 bits tiff format once i've applied it to my character it hasn't captured all the details in the map and it's looking like a bump map when i increase the height the geometry inflates and the eyes area becomes closed noticing that my catclack subdivs are set to 5

Have you set the Color Space to RAW?

Yes color space is set to raw since it's a 16 bits half precision tiff exported from ZBrush

Did you try a low height, fx. 0.1 or 0.2, keeping scale at 1? I also find that sub divs for some reason messes up the geo completely if I go beyond 1.

Could it be a Scalar Zero Value issue? Could you share some images so that we can see what you are getting?
