There's currently a driver bug for those Turing but non-RTX cards, this has been reported to NVIDIA and we should hopefully get a fix in an upcoming driver. I've updated the supported GPU page with this info: https://docs.arnoldrenderer.com/display/A5ARP/Supported+GPUs

can you tell me when this issue will be fixed? I bought a new pc because i thought that gpu was the future.i want to work with arnold gpu. Also when will arnold support open vdb and shadow matte passes on gpu. When will the stable version with all these features come out? please keep me up to date.

Im sorry i don't think you understood my question.i want to know when this issue will get fixed I bought this GPU for this reason.
Can you give the latest nvidia driver a try? As of right now I believe that's 430.39. You might need to look under game ready. While I don't have a 1660 to verify, I think this driver adds support for your card.
i thought that you are supposed to use creator ready drivers.i have these installed. @Thiago Ize @Lee Griggs @Stephen Blair @Frederic Servant
No, it's just that when we released Arnold 5.3.0.0 only the creator drivers with the proper optix support were available. We mentioned creator drivers to make it easier to find the latest (at that time) driver version.
430.64 fix that error. But Arnold GPU still bad, still beta, its slow, "do not intended for use in production" 😞
Im getting this in December of 2020 though.
