Transferring Cd value from houdini generated alembic splines to color in c4dtoa

How to read cd point attribute from alembic splines in c4d? if i import the alembic back into houdini, it automatically displays the Cd color attribute as expected, but I can't seem to access this in cinema to render my splines as hair/curves.. tried reading the Cd in custom user data rgb node, but it just shows black, also tried remapping the range to 255 and still no luck... any suggestions? :(

Currently vertex maps defined on a Spline/Hair object is not exported to Arnold. I'm not sure how the C4D Alembic generator imports the file. Could you please send me a simple Alembic file, so I can take a look?
