MixShader transition slowness

Hello. I'm using the mixshader to make a transition of two different shader. One solid shader and the second with opacity, like falloff xRay. I do an animation keyframe for transitioning the two. When the mix value start tthe animation, the render time began slow ever. The two shaders as single without transition have a good rendertime. Obviously there is opacity falloff, but the are ok.

SO there is a metod(ok i can render the two sequence and composite them) faster then using mixShader? The layer can be more fast?

Is ti normal?

Thanks

Dario

Yes, There are two ways to achieve desire effect.

First, you can try rendering individual shader and merge them in compositing (post effect)/

Second, create two render layer. then override and assign aiMatte shader (shader1 or 2 box). Now render Both and use in compositing.
