What are the setting to get realistic white fur in 3ds Max?

There are many types of fur, are you talking about the shape and flow of the hairs or the color?
For color you can use the Arnold Hair material, it has a platora of controls to dial in the exact look you want, you can break up hair diffuse colors with a control map to get a bit of randomization. Let's see your first attempt to match a refference image and we can try move on from there.

It happens! I was looking at a potential bug for quite some time yesterday when I realised it was my own doing ^^
