Volume collector give me much much more realistic result / flexibility / advance control / and the most important is it's ability to connect with gradient with color of Fire. So :
- Why Arnold team remove volume collector ?
- How to let gradient connect to emission color of stardard volume ?

tab in Node Editor and just ype aiVolumeCollector
That's was for Maya.
For cinema4D you can expose the shader by editing the file c4dtoa.mtd
search for [node volume_collector]
and change from
c4d.visible_in_editor BOOL false
to
c4d.visible_in_editor BOOL true
Ramp RGB -> Emission Color should work (MtoA).
