Ambient occlusion LightFilter

Apparently Mike Farnsworth of Solidangle developed a Ambient occlusion Lightfilter. allowing you to add AO to your scene with a skylight. Removing the need to create specific AO override shaders if i'm using Displacement in my shading.
I've found a compiled version for Maxtoa, but i have no idea where to start so i can implement it into maya.
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction, or if it just a case of me having to write it myself?
Thank you.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ol9i55c47b2kz8/AOLightFilter_MAX_Maya_Support.zip?dl=0 Here it is with Maya support. A user send me the additional file.

Also, Ill pop it on my private site and compile against new SDK's in future, I promised to do so.

Fantastic, thanks again Mads!

This is a super useful light filter, and it really should be part of Arnold. I know it goes against the grain of unbiased, physically correct, blah blah blah-- but it's incredibly helpful for users. Trade off GI perfection for 10x faster rendering... it's a good deal for animations that don't need to be absolutely photorealistic.
