Hi,
I have a large scene where I want to render each object individually, without being obstructed by the objects in front, so object masks alone don't suffice. In the Standard Cinema4d renderer, there is an option called "active object only" that only render the active objects. Is there any such option in C4DtoA or do I have to add Arnold parameter tags to every object and turn the ones invisible to the camera that I don't want to see? It takes very long with 100+ objects to do that for every single one...
Thanks and best regards,
Fynn

The 'Active Object Only' option controls how the render scene is generated, which is then used by the render engine, so actually it works with Arnold. The option is not visible though when you change to Arnold Renderer, so first you have to select Standard, enable the option and than change to Arnold Renderer.
Thanks, I didn't know that 🙂
Next to that, could I maybe make one suggestion about the AOV object masks? It would be very timesaving if they would by default be named after the object they are assigned to, at the moment they are always called 'object mask 1' and have to be renamed individually.
Best regards
