is there a way to get aiHair shader in Houdini 17.5.216 HTOA 4.0.2 Arnold 5.3.02 like we get in maya those old arnold shaders aiStandard, aiHair.

Now it has been updated to aiStandard Hair, but I need aiHair.

The hair shader has been deprecated and so may be removed in a future release, replaced by the standard_hair shader.

You can still create the old one in python e.g. hou.node('/shop/arnold_vopnet1').createNode('arnold::hair') if you really need to.

Are you able to use the new standard_hair shader instead?

Cheers

Julian
