Fire effect: aiVolume Blackbody

Hello again,

Quick question here regarding a VDB Fire effect (Houdini Pyro)—with an aiStandardVolume shader set to Blackbody.

I'd like to keep the visual result of Blackbody when using temperature, but I've noticed that the light contribution is incredibly noisy and I'd prefer to fake that using lighting for render optimizations.

Is there a way to disable the light contribution without losing the "look" of the fire? Otherwise, I suppose the best way would be to render seperately.

Thanks!

You could set Diffuse Samples to 0, but that would affect the whole scene.

Thanks for the suggestion Lee, yeah in that situation I would look at rendering separately. We're just not at that point in the "look dev phase".
