Xgen to Arnold translator

Hi, I’ve noticed that the translator is now multi threaded and uses all cores of the cpu. I would like to know if this required looking into XGen’s source code to accomplish since I have’t seen any other renderer do this and the developer mentioned that one needs access to the xgen source code to be able to properly enable multi threading.

I’m asking this because our studio is trying to create a custom translator but is unable to properly multi thread it.

Thanks,

Tarkan

The xgen multithreading is a little unstable, and we are going to recommend that poeple don't use it.

Do you mean the procedural? As the translator just translates the xgen settings from maya in to the procedural to generate the xgen data, and sets the ai_multithreading user parameter.
