Hi everyone,
For my short, I'm trying to render at best my hand painted texture, but can't find the right settings in Arnold 5 (maya) for it.
I would like to achieve this kind of render (look the character, most of the background is matte painting)
Here I don't know the renderer. But I would like to have the same result with my textures and also have this "outline" around the characters. I've tried to make this by mixing "emission" and a aiutility plug into it but I wasn't able to get an interesting result.
Do you have any advices or tips for this kind of render in arnold?

You could try the Surface Luminance shader or wait for the upcoming Toon shader.
