Spec. Roughness bug from Mtoa 3.1.0 to 3.2.0 change the value..

Hi

So i wanted to change from Arnold 3.1.0 in Maya 2017 to Arnold 3.2.0 in Maya 2018 in windows and i found that Arnold change the Specular Roughness by duplicating it´s value.

So if is 0.10 it change it to 0.20. ans worst of all is also happening with StandIns. I try with a simple sphere with a mat as well and the result is the same.

I have also try with Maya 2019 and arnold 3.2.1.1 and is also happening.

Any info about this is appreciate it.

Thanks

Not a bug.

The default was changed in Arnold 5.3

From the MtoA release notes:

  • Default specular_roughness in aiStandardSurface is now 0.2. Existing scenes that had left this parameter to its default value might now look different.

From the Arnold release notes:

  • Defaults changed for standard_surface: The specular_IOR parameter changed from 1.52 to 1.5 so that it matches the coat_IOR and thin_film_IOR. The specular_roughness changed from 0.1 to 0.2. The subsurface_type default changed from diffusion to randomwalk. (#7627, #8133)
