Can I use Backface Culling in render?

I wish to use backface culling to completely pass any faces that isn't facing the camera. But I couldn't find any settings relate to backface culling. Anyone know anything that might help?

Why do you need to do this?

There's no backface culling setting. There is a double-sided flag on each object.

Yes I figured that out as well, I can use double sided materials to simulate the effects of backface culling. It is useful in creating hologram materials because you want to see through the model but not the back of it.

I would also like to know how to do this for the use of making an outline of a character that looks 2D

Iike Stephen said, Arnold allows you to assign two different materials to both side, all you have to do is to assign a transparent material to the back side of faces. Sorry I can't give you details since I switched to Red Shift shortly after posing this question. But try searching "double sided flag" as Stephen has suggested.
