when I apply a ramp texture in maya to a fur standin the ramp seems to run along the curve UV's however when a regular file texture is used, the fur then uses the UV's from the mesh it was generated on. How do I control whether I'm using the curve or the mesh UV's
Have you tried Ramp Implicit UVs?
awesome ! thanks for the speedy response. So my question is, is there any way I can get these implicit UV's to apply to a file texture? and have the file texture run along root to tip of the curve?
