What software are you using? Can you share a screenshot of your material nodes and the values for the SSS section in your surface shader

Are the normals pointing outwards? Does changing the SSS Radius/Scale help?

it seems like a normals problem, but is there any way I can reverse the normals within Arnold? because am using a plugin called Realflow for c4d...and the mesh it generates(uneditable) has inverse normals,if i make it editable then the simulation/animation will be gone.

What happens when you use Invert Normals in the Arnold Parameter Tag.

It doesn't work without me disabling double-sided.

In the Arnold Tag? Why is that a problem?

Yes it the Arnold tag, and I don't want to disable double-sided because tthe object is double sided
