3ds Arnold Rendering station

Hello,

I would like to be able to set off renders from my workstation but to have the advantage of using the additional computing power of a more powerful machine on our local network. What would I need to achieve this?

- do I need to have 3ds installed on both machines, or is it just the Arnold network license I need?

- do I need one or two Arnold network licenses for this? two PCs - one modeling and preparing the scenes and the other just boosting the rendering.

Kind Regards,

Mat

You can't distribute a single frame across multiple machines.

You can distribute whole frames to multiple machines.

You need 3ds Max and MAXtoA installed on all machines. You need an Arnold license for all machines (assuming you are batch rendering from the command line).
